Jorge Ruiz scored three goals as the Dowagiac soccer team blanked Berrien Springs 5-0 in Wolverine West Division action Wednesday.

The Chieftains also got a goal and an assist from both Jeremiah Guernsey and Aubrey Huston.

Dowagiac (5-6, 3-2 West) outshot the Shamrocks 16-2.

“We played a complete 80 minutes offensively and defensively,” Dowagiac coach Mike Williams said. “We showed a lot of improvement, which worked really well tonight.”
