The Dowagiac tennis team split a non-conference match with Buchanan Wednesday 4-4.

The Chieftains won three out of four doubles flights, while the Bucks won three out of four singles flights.

The most competitive match of a day came at No. 4 singles where Christian Orphanidis of Buchanan defeated Jordan Hagemann 7-6, 2-6, 6-1.
