PORTAGE — The Niles boys and girls cross country teams both finished fifth at the SMAC West Jamboree at Portage Northern Wednesday.

St. Joseph won the girl’s race and Portage Central the boy’s race.

Chelsea Best finished 23rd to lead the Vikings with a time of 23:00.

Noah Hall was 19th for the Niles boys team with a time of 19:09.
