PAW PAW — Host Paw Paw defeated Dowagiac 7-1 in Wolverine Conference non-divisional tennis Wednesday.

The Chieftains picked up their lone win at No. 4 singles as Jordan Hagemann outlasted Connor Welling 2-6, 7-6(7) and 6-1.

“Well I’m happy to see our four singles come out and play hard,” Dowagiac coach Sonny Swartz said. “I’m happy for Jordan. He worked his butt off to win this match. But overall, I’m not happy with the mindset of this team.”
