The United Way of Southwest Michigan officially began gathering support toward its annual campaign this week and it is inviting the community to get involved by sharing why they “Live United.”

“Though fundraising is an important part of our annual campaign, there is a lot more to it,” said Ric Pawloski, director of resource development at United Way. “We want to motivate people to share why they believe in this community and the amazing work they are involved in.”

To share why you Live United, “Like” United Way of Southwest Michigan on Facebook and post a picture of yourself holding a white piece of paper with Live United written on it. Post the picture to your Facebook, tag United Way, your family and friends, and share why you Live United. Examples can be seen on the United Way of Southwest Michigan Facebook.

Anyone who tags United Way of Southwest Michigan in a Live United post this week will be entered in a drawing for two tickets to the Notre Dame vs. North Carolina football game on Oct. 11, thanks to the United Way’s partnership with Leader Publications. Another winner will receive a Whirlpool Gladiator garage organization kit — more than a $300 value.
