For the third time in five years, Tony Myers and Myers Motorsports are on top of the drag racing world in Osceola, Indiana.

Winning four of 16 races, Myers captured the Top Eliminator championship.

After winning his second Ironman title earlier this summer, Myers took his alcohol dragster, sponsored by U.S. Army, Lucas Oil, Lane Automotive and numerous other local sponsors, to the championship.

Tony’s daughter, Taylor Myers, 16, competed for the first time against her dad in the series and finished eighth to qualify for the team finals in Martin last weekend.

Taylor is the youngest competitor in the class and has twice been voted the top young woman in motorsports by the Lynn St. James Foundation.

Taylor attends Dowagiac Union High School and Southwestern Michigan College as part of the dual enrollment program.

The Tony and Taylor Myers were not the only local racers to achieve success this year at Osceola Dragway.

Dowagiac’s Larry Stoker, a 25-year veteran, won the Modified Class at Osceola in his 1957 Chevy.

Stoker, like Tony Myers, won the Ironman earlier this year. This is his third championship driving the Rampage Chevy, in which he has recorded more than 50 victories in his career.

Stoker is sponsored by Trackside Restaurant and other friends.
