Dennis was born to Jack and Jullane (Kubeck) Dalenberg on Feb. 9 1941, in Niles, Michigan.

He proudly served his country in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy, where he served until retirement. After retiring from the military, he served as a correctional officer with the Cass County Sherriff’s Department and retired (again and for good) in 2007.

Dennis enjoyed cooking and baking as well as collecting stamps, coins and antique bottles. He loved to read, listen to music and watch old movies.

He was a lifelong football fan of the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame, and was the happiest on a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Dennis rode motorcycles for almost 60 years, including numerous “Iron Butt” rides and a trip from Michigan to Alaska and back.

He leaves behind to carry on his memory a loving wife of 52 years, Sandra (McCombs) Dalenberg; sons John (Neva) Turnock of Washington and Sean Dalenberg of Marylandl daughter, Robin (Ron) Dalenberg of Michigan; granddaughter Amber Turnock of Washington; brother, Jerry (Ginger) Dalenberg of Michigan; and sister, Diane (Denny) Hill, of Michigan.

The celebration of his life is planned for 2 p.m., Sept. 17, 2014, at the Page-Theus Funeral Home, Downtown Leesburg, Florida. A future gathering in Michigan for friends and family will be planned at a later date.
