The Buchanan volleyball team swept Berrien Springs 3-0 in non-league action Tuesday.

The Bucks defeated the Shamrocks 25-15, 25-4 and 25-7.

“I think Franki Strefling is the best athlete in the area,” Buchanan coach Lisa Holak said. “She can dominate the game in a moments notice. We have so many weapons this year with Jada Meahl, Jade Mosier, Chelsey Bennett and Liz Kuntz and are really solid all the way around. This team plays to win and pushes each other competitively each day to get better. This is the season we are poised to make a state run. It’s ours to lose.”
