SOUTH HAVEN — Visiting Dowagiac blanked South Haven 8-0 in a Wolverine Conference West Division tennis match Monday.

The most competitive match of the day came at No. 1 singles where the Chieftains’ Zach Davis defeated Joel Rummel 6-3, 5-7 and 6-1.

“it was nice to get a team win today, but we need to learn to finish our matches a lot better than we have been,” Dowagiac coach Sonny Swartz said. “These young men will keep working to make that happen. I’m really happy for the team.”
