MARCELLUS — Alex Swem and Lincoln Griwinski both scored two goals as visiting Buchanan defeated Howardsville Christian 4-0 in non-league soccer Thursday.

Swem also had an assist for the Bucks, who outshot Howardsville 14-8.

Case Vargo had three saves for Buchanan.

“Our first half was rough,” Buchanan coach Ryan Catalano said. “We found ourselves unorganized with very little communication. But by half time we huddled up and reorganized ourselves and had a different team on the field and played much better. Communication was also extremely better and when we have those two running smoothly we are a very good soccer team.”
