PAW PAW — Portage Central and Otsego claimed the boys and girls titles respective at the Harvest Invitational hosted by Paw Paw Tuesday.

The Mustangs easily outdistanced runner-up Otsego in the boys cross country race 27-48. Niles tied for third with Mattawan with 112 points.

Connor Wuori of Portage Central was the overall winner with a time of 16:18.

Devin Tomlinson finished 12th for Niles with a time of 18:58. DeYonte Sullivan was 17th overall for Dowagiac with a time of 19:18.

Otsego was the runaway winner in the girls’ race with 20 points. Portage Central was second with 60 points. The Vikings finished seventh with 178 points. Dowagiac did not have enough runners to post a team score.

Otsego’s Megan Aalberts was the overall winner with a time of 20:13.
