A personal injury accident at 3:17 p.m. sent one to the hospital Sunday.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports that Khalil Brown, 18, from Cassopolis, stopped at the stop sign at Mason and Union Road. He then proceeded westbound through the stop sign failing to see a motorcycle that was traveling south on Union Road and who had the right of way.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Robert Brusdahl, 58, from Okeechobee, Florida. Brushdahl was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Brusdahl was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation.

Porter Fire and Ambulance and Edwardsburg Ambulance assisted deputies at the scene.
