Jr. Miss Apple Festival contestant profile: Tressy Mazumder

In a little over two weeks, 19 girls will compete for titles of Miss Apple Festival and Jr. Miss Apple Festival. During the next several days, the Niles Daily Star will profile each of the contestants vying for the crowns.
Junior Miss Contestant No. 1
Tressy Mazumder
Tressy is the 14 year old daughter of Albert and Shelly Mazumder.
She is currently attending Ring Lardner Middle School where she participates in National Junior Honor Society, Science Olympiad, Year Book Club, and Cross Country.
Tressy’s special honors and recognitions include Presidential Award, Division 2 Medal for Solo and Ensemble, National Junior Honor Society and Science Olympiad precipitation Certificates. Her dream career is to become a surgeon or veterinarian because she finds the human body interesting and loves to play with animals.
Tressy’s hobbies include Indian dancing, reading adventurous novels, camping and fishing.
She decided to enter the pageant to help stay connected with her community. She has always wanted to be a representative of a community and she hopes her dream of leadership and generosity comes true.
