The Dowagiac golf team finished eighth for the second straight Wolverine Conference jamboree.

The Chieftains hosted the jamboree at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course.

Sturgis won the jamboree with a 184. Plainwell was second at 198 and South Haven 224.

The Chieftains finished with a 254.

Kelsey Smith led Dowagiac with a 53. Heather Olson shot 59.

“We finished last again, but shot six shots better than Monday and were only four shots from seventh place,” Dowagiac coach Bob Turner said.
