The Dowagiac freshman football team was defeated by visiting Plainwell 22-6 Wednesday night.

The score was tied at 6-6 with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter when the Trojans scored.

The Chieftains due to lack of time were forced to go for it late deep in their territory and the Trojans got the ball back in great possession to score again.

Dowagiac will travel to Sturgis Thursday.
