Niles netters split with Central, Lakeview

The Niles tennis team opened up the home portion of its scheduled with a split Monday.

The Vikings blanked Battle Creek Central 8-0 in a morning match and then fell to Battle Creek Lakeview 7-1 in an afternoon match.

The Vikings’ Micah Weigel was the only double winner as he defeated Thomas Brown 6-0 and 6-0 in the Central match and then defeated Brij Banerji 1-6, 6-4 and 6-0 in the Lakeview match.
