One person was injured when another person drove their vehicle into the Niles Community Health Center at 24 N. St. Joseph Ave., in Niles, Thursday afternoon.
Scott Glick, of the Niles Police Department, said the accident could be attributed to driver error.
A passenger in the vehicle sustained an injury to her right leg and was transported by Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service to the hospital.
The driver was uninjured.
The accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. in Suite G of the building.
A receptionist inside said at least one person was in the waiting room at the time the vehicle hit the side of the building, causing damage to the outside and inside of the structure.
Glick said he was not aware of any injuries to anyone inside the building.
The Niles City Fire Department is in the process of stabilizing a portion of the building, which will remain closed until it is fixed.
The receptionist said appointments for Friday have been canceled.
Dr. Michael Sailers and nurse practitioner Crystal Payton work out of the office, which is located across the street from Lakeland Niles.
The office opened in February.
