Niles is ready to rock out for a good cause.
On Saturday, Aug. 30 Rock for the Cure Michiana will be holding a benefit show to raise money for the Niles-Buchanan Relay for Life.
This will include live music, art, comedy, burlesque, and food vendors at the Niles Skate Park, located at 696 Front St., Niles.
The event will last from noon until 9 p.m., during which time the audience will be treated to live music from the following acts:
• All My Sins Remembered
• Half Fiction
• Seldom Told
• G Lethal 9
• Deadlite Redemption
• Ingred Cold
• Laced with Blood
• Twisted Aversion
• Poisoned by Ares.
In between music sets, Brick House Burlesque and comedians Huey Madison and Zachery Boyce will keep the audience entertained.
Throughout the day, the skate park will be open, and there will be BMX demonstrations taking place outside of the park.
Niles’ Pizza Transit will be onsite selling their award-winning pizza and drinks to help raise money for Relay.
Additionally, All My Sins Remembered are providing a pig roast for the event.
Local artists Janna Cross, Bianca Edelstein, Amber Olsen, Ashley Lavon, and Anna Head will have booths set up to purchase their work, which will help generate proceeds for the benefit.
There is no charge for admission to the event.
Rock for the Cure Michiana relies solely on donations. In the past, RftCM has raised upwards of $1,100 at each event.
