Kenneth Dareall Russell

Kenneth Dareall Russell, 46, of Holland, Michigan, passed away, Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at 6:08 p.m. as a result of a motorcycle accident.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the celebration of life Service at noon, held at Second Baptist Church, 203 S. Paul St., Dowagiac. His burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac.

Kenny was born March 29, 1968, to Frances Izetta Russell-Archer who preceded him in death. He was known as Kenny “abelene” by family and childhood friends. He was employed at Ottawa Door Lights as a production tech for 16 years. He enjoyed playing basketball, listening to music and riding his motorcycle. He also loved to keep a clean house.

He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend. He cherished his children Janina and Ryan. He bragged relentlessly about all of his grandchildren and was lovingly looking forward to the birth of his new granddaughter. He enjoyed looking and smelling good in his fine clothes, jewelry, shoes, hats and cologne. He was very eager to receive a well-deserved compliment once he put his ensemble together. He was a fan of nice things and he worked hard to accomplish his goals.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his two children, Janina Russell of South Bend, and Ryan Russell of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Kinyon Russell, Jamydriana Russell, Javion Russell, Kei Myjah Davis and Savannah Rose Russell; two sisters, Michelle McNichols-Jackson of Kalamazoo, and Larsharette McNichols of Hendersonville, Tennessee; one brother, Anthony (Rachele) Russell of Niles; his step father, Tony Archer of Dowagiac; a special friend, Katherine Martin; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His grandmother and grandfather, Rev and Frances Anderson preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to his family. Please take the opportunity to sign his guestbook and leave a condolence or a memory of Kenny at www.clarkch.com.
