A celebration of life service will be held for Bernadetta Schikora Hanlin, 63, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church with an English Tea to follow. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Hanlin was born March 18, 1951, and passed away on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014. She was a daughter of the late Paul Schikora and B. Ceil Derek Schikora. She was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church and was a wonderful Christian woman and wife and had a very forgiving heart. She was a Stephen’s Ministry Leader.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald Hanlin of Lexington; sons, Mike Dean Jr. of Boulder, Colorado and Jeremy Dean (Jenny) of Lake Orion, Michigan; granddaughter, Carly Dean; and sister, Catherine (Bruce) Sayer of Niles..
