Corey James Whittamore, 22, of Laurel Street, Mishawaka, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, after suffering injuries in an auto accident. He was born in Berrien Center, Michigan on Aug. 21, 1991.

He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Leath of Mishawaka and his stepfather, John Leath of Berrien Springs, along with two children: Corey Horvath Jr. and Mariah Horvath, both of Mishawaka.

His fiancée, Crystal Horvath of Mishawaka also survives as well as the brother and sister, Joshua Mathews and Paige Woodrum, both of Mishawaka. His grandmothers survive, Maxine Naragon and Delores Lane.

The family is planning a memorial service for Corey at a later date. A benefit for Corey’s children is being arranged and will be announced at a later date as well.

Bubb Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
