While his cobalt, 1967 Ford F-100 may have only barely placed outside the top five at Saturday’s 24th annual Rod & Roll Classic Auto Show, Cassopolis’ Andy Badner received a sweet reward of his own during the winner’s parade that afternoon.
Namely, a trophy, and a hug, from Miss Dowagiac Mackenzie Whitmyer.
Front Street was once again backed with classic and modern vehicle’s during the annual car show, with vehicles ranging from a restored 1933 Ford Model T to custom-made hotrods. The diversity in vehicles was only matched by the diversity of the entrants, who hailed from all over the southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana.
Taking home the best in show award was Ed Thomas, of Goshen, for his 1966 Chevy SS2. Also taking home an award for 12th place this year was Steve Lutes, of Dowagiac, for his 1954 Chevy Sedan.
