Several local students received Academic Honors for the semester that ended in May 2014 at Ferris State University and Kendall College of Art and Design. To be eligible, students must have had a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while completing a certain amount of credit hours depending on part-time or full-time status.

They are:

Niles — Joselyn Dlouhy, Paulette Johnson, Brittney Buit, Holly Evans-Schlutt, Megan Haynes, Stephanie Daus, Destiny Carbon, Carrie Brooks, Brandon Scott, Jessica Crouch, Amanda Kent, Leslie Boyles, Tanya Humphrey, Alyssa Putnam, Steven Phillips and Ashlyn Chambers.

Buchanan — Joshua Newberg, Trevor Gray, Elissa Gray, Richard Martin, Allison Cornwell, Lindsay Cavanaugh and David Baltazar.

Edwardsburg — Amanda Groeneveld, Timothy Maret, Brittney Rieck and Stacie Litty.
