Charon Lee Buck, 69, of Dowagiac, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. A celebration of life will be at noon on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, with Pastor Bryan Bacon officiating. Burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.

Charon was born July 10, 1945, in Dowagiac to her parents William and Reva Mae (Wilson) Curry. Charon married the love of her life, Roger Buck Sr. on Aug. 13, 1966, in Dowagiac.

She had worked at Jessup Door for 23 years. She had a passion for family, decorating, fashion and especially shopping. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and truly adored being a grandmother. A social person, she enjoyed eating out, talking, traveling and walking with her twin sister.

Charon’s surviving family includes her husband Roger Buck Sr. of Dowagiac; her children, Brenda Lee Buck of South Bend, Indiana, Roger (Irene) Buck Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland, Craig L. Buck of Atlanta, Georgia, and Denise Mitchell of South Haven, Michigan; five grandchildren, Roger Buck III, Sommer Hardy, Kennedy Hardy, Laila Buck-Adams, and Evan Buck; one great grandchild Dakota Buck; two brothers, William (Patricia) Curry Jr. of Cassopolis, Michigan and Gregory Curry of Dowagiac, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister Charlene Frazier.
