Curran wins District 11 Republican BC commissioner race

Incumbent Jim Curran defeated challenger Rick Briand to win the Republican nomination for the District 11 seat on the Berrien County Board of Commissioners.
According to unofficial results from Election Magic, Curran gathered 559 votes to Briand’s 186 during Tuesday’s primary election.
Curran won all five precincts by more than a 50-percent margin. The closest precinct was Niles Charter No. 3 where he gained 50 votes to Briand’s 24.

Bertrand No. 1A: Curran 94, Briand 33
Niles Charter No. 1: Currant 67, Briand 24
Niles Charter No. 3: Curran 50, Briand 24
Niles Charter No. 4: Curran 43, Briand 17
Niles Charter No. 5: Curran 110, Briand 40
No Democrat has filed to run in the race for District 11 commissioner.
