A benefit for the Ryan Hartman Scholarship fund will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Brandywine Middle/Senior High School.

A 2006 graduate of Brandywine, Hartman died in February from complications from a rare form of pediatric cancer. He was 26 years old.

A scholarship has been created in his honor that will go to a Brandywine Senior.

Money raised at the event will benefit the scholarship fund.

Organizer Jeri Ulrickson said the event would have the atmosphere of a family picnic or carnival with a bounce house, dunk tank, food and children’s activities.

There will also be a silent auction and raffles.
