U8 All-Stars second at Eaton Park

The Dowagiac Little League U8 All-Stars placed second in the 14th annual Eaton Park Invitational, which concluded Sunday.

Dowagiac played in a pool along with the OC Crush, Lakeshore 1, Hartford and Watervliet.

The All-Stars defeated Lakeshore 9-5 and then defeated Hartford 16-5. The MVP for the first game was Caliegh Wimberly and Danni Purlee the MVP of the second contest.

In the third game of bracket play, Dowagiac defeated Cassopolis 14-3 with Jenna Gibson earning MVP honors.

The All-Stars defeated River Valley 12-3 in the semifinals with Triana Lee earning the MVP.

Dowagiac lost to the OC Crush 13-6 in the championship game. Grace Shell earned the MVP.
