The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce was pleased with the turnout for its revamped fireworks fun festival in Niles on Thursday.

The chamber added live music, bounce houses, more vendors and a variety of children’s activities to its annual free fireworks display.

“It was a new twist and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves,” said Tyanna Weller, president of the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce. “There was a lively crowd and the fireworks were great with a really great finale.”

The chamber needs about $10,000 in donations to pay for the event. Weller said she is hopeful that they reached that goal.

The chamber plans to bring back the extra attractions for next year’s event.

“We’d definitely like to,” Weller said. “We are also asking for suggestions about how to make the event even better.”
