Monday, July 7

• 6 p.m. — Meditation

Start your week with calm focus…

• 6:30 p.m. — Kundalini Yoga and Meditation

New faces are always welcome in this friendly, casual meetup group.

 

Tuesday, July 8

• 6:30 p.m. — Fiction for Foodies

A potluck book club. Read the book, bring food inspired by it, and join us to eat and discuss monthly on the second Tuesday. Books are available at the Information Desk. Tonight’s book is The Time Between by Karen White. Next month we’ll discuss Gone Girl by Gillian Flyn.

 

Wednesday, July 9

• 9 to 11:59 a.m. — The Wednesday Morning Club

A new weekly gathering for everyone in the community, but focused on our special needs friends of all ages. Doors open at 9 for games and chatting. We’ll start a read-aloud at 9:30, and crafts begin at 10.

• 4 p.m. — Games

Lots of games to choose from! Bring your deck, or build up a character for one of the RPGs.

• 6 p.m. — Ye Olde Movies

Every Wednesday night during the summer we’ll be showing a classic movie in keeping with our “Renaisscience” theme. This week we’ll watch Dragonheart (1996) followed by the documentary The Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance.

 

Thursday, July 10

• 1 to 3 p.m. — Mahjong

A weekly game open to anyone. Volunteers are happy to teach you how to play.

• 6 to 8 p.m. — Book, Hook and Needle

A weekly gathering for anyone with handwork they’d like to do with company, coordinated by local knitting instructor Sara Pesce. Chainmail tools will also be available this summer.

• 6:30 p.m. — Supporting Change

A monthly opportunity for support and encouragement to make changes in your financial life. Coffee and dessert served.

• 6:30 p.m. — Drolleries (Doodles in the Margin): Humorous or Grotesque?

Baroness Antonia di Troina from The Barony of the White Waters (SCA) presents a survey exploring those funny illustrations in the margins of Middle Ages manuscripts.

 

Saturday, July 12

• 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Adult Xbox Gaming

This month we’re having an open game day. Drop in anytime!

• 1:30 p.m. — Lecture and Display in the Eleanor and Mowitt Drew Gallery

The history of pearl button manufacturing by Ric Ladonski

• 2 p.m. — The Coalition

You’ve probably had topics come to mind that you wanted to be able to discuss in a meaningful, non-hostile way. Saturdays at two they’ll gather at the library to do just that. Come be part of the conversation.
