Sharon Clair Walter, 77, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, at The Bailey Center Hospice in Saint Augustine, Florida after a brief illness.
She was born in Buchanan, Michigan on Sept. 19, 1936, to the late Harry W. Ritter and Laura Ritter Graham. She married Scott C. Walter on June 23, 1956, and resided in Niles.
Sharon was a devoted and loving mother to her three children, Stephanie Walter Masterson of St. Augustine, Florida, Stanton Walter of Mishawaka, Indiana and Steven Walter of Niles. She adored her five grandchildren Zachariah, Joseph, Renee, Dawn and Becky and her two great-grandchildren Levon and Caden. Sharon’s life revolved around her large extended family, whom she loved dearly and was loved in return.
She was preceded in death by her husband Scott. Surviving are siblings Patricia Morris of Madison, Wisconsin, Harry E. Ritter of Niles and Jerry L. Ritter of Pinehurst, North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at Swem Chapel , 301 West Front St. Buchanan, Michigan.
