Jeremy Truitt with the Young Professionals of Dowagiac accepts a $200 check from Pat Bakeman of Bakeman’s Barbers. Bakeman was the first business owner to donate toward the organization’s project to bring back a fireworks display for this year’s Fourth of July celebration. So far, the group has received around $1,500 worth of contributions from businesses and individuals.
