Aug. 31, 1929 – June 1, 2014

Jean I. Bogue, 84, of Dowagiac, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan.

Jean was born Aug. 31, 1929, in South Bend to the late Thomas Hugo and Ilene Ella (Ballou) Keyworth.

On Aug, 26, 1949, in South Bend, Jean Keyworth married Leonard T. Bogue, who passed away Jan. 29, 2009.

Jean is survived by two daughters, Debra I. Hiler, of Dowagiac, and Leslie (Joseph) Vargo, of Dowagiac; two sons, Michael T. (Carol) Bogue of Dowagiac, and Scott Henry Bogue (Cary Albert), of LaPaz, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brett, Richard, Michelle, Brandon, and A.J.; six great-grandchildren, Derrick, Nathan, Mason, Logan, Lilly and Quinlan.

Jean retired from N.S. Credit Union in Niles after 25 years of service.

Jean was a member of Eastern Star and Triple R Riding Club. She enjoyed dining out and camping with their friends.

Funeral services will be held noon Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. South Bend, with Rev. Carl Bassett officiating.

Committal service and burial will follow at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. Thursday till time of service at noon.
