Larry Collins of Creekside Greenhouse talks with patrons at Dowagiac’s Farm & Artisan Market, which opened May 28 on the lawn of the Dowagiac Area History Museum.  Open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the market offers in-season produce and fruit, annuals, perennials, fresh and dried herbs, jam and sweet breads, flavored coffee and the handmade works of Michigan artisans.  Sponsored by the Dowagiac Downtown Development Authority and the museum, growers and artisans who would like to join the market may do so by calling the Dowagiac DDA at (269) 782-8212.  Organizers are also inviting inspiring musicians to sign up to perform on site.
