Plenty to do this summer in Buchanan

Buchanan is full of activities this summer. Check out the list below:

• June 5 — Kicks off the Summer Thursday Night Concert Series with 5th Gear. The series runs every Thursday through Aug 14 and is free.

• June 7-8 — Marks the Annual Buckteen Reunion at Buchanan High School. This brings hundreds of past Buchanan graduates back to Buchanan for the weekend.

• June 7 —Saturday Farmers Market rolling all through the summer. It takes place every Saturday at the Common.

• June 12 — Buchanan will host the EXPOsing Greatness business expo for the first time at the high school. This is a business to business and public expo hosting all of our great local businesses that is free to the public.

• June 13-14 — Is the annual citywide garage sale. Please register at city hall.

• June 20 — The Tin Shop Theatre Continues its summer schedule. Shows occur Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

• June 28 — Starts the first of the “Last Saturday on the Common” Concert series. The series runs the last Saturday of the month through August and is free.

• July 3-6 — Buchanan hosts 35,000 motocross fans for the Redbud MX nationals.

• July 26 — Buchanan will host its first ever “Buchanan Open House” where local businesses and organizations will open their doors in an open house style and provide refreshments and activities free to the general public.

• Sept. 19 — Fall Golf Outing at Brookwood hosted by United Federal Credit Union. Please register at the Chamber of Commerce website.

• Oct. 11 — Harvest Buchanan. Buchanan’s annual Harvest Festival with live bands, local eateries and wineries and breweries.
