Eddies hold off Elkhart Memorial

ELKHART — Dylan Hullett and two hits and Derek Pierce drove in a pair of runs as visiting Edwardsburg slipped past Elkhart Memorial 4-3 Wednesday.
In the top of the seventh, the Eddies scored a pair of runs to take a 4-1 lead on the Chargers.
Hulett singled to drive in Dalton Raymond to give Edwardsburg a 3-1 lead and then Pierce lifted a sacrifice fly to score Dalton with the winning run.
Memorial scored two runs in the bottom of the seven and had a running at third base with one out.
Raymond picked up a strikeout for the second out and then induced a ground ball to shortstop for the final out.
Keith Boeker worked the first six innings to picked up the win. Dalton struck out a pair in the seventh inning to earn the save.
