Brandywine boys win final Lakeland track championship

The Brandywine boys track team captured the final Lakeland Conference championship as it easily defeated runner-up Bridgman Tuesday.

The Bobcats scored 121 points compared to just 78 for the Bees. Buchanan was third with 73 and Cassopolis fourth with 14.

The Rangers captured the girls championship with 97 points. Bridgman was second with 74, Brandywine third with 47 and Buchanan fourth with 15.

This fall all four teams will become part of the new Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph County League (BCS).

Michael Robbins, Nathan Anders and Andrew Duckett were all multiple winners for the Brandywine boys team.

Buchanan’s Solomon Remmo captured both the shot put and discus.

KayAnna Williams and KaylynForrest were multiple winners for the Rangers, while Brandywine’s Emily Pedzinski won three events.
