Partnership creates health and wellness summit

The Four Flags Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Niles-Buchanan YMCA, Be Healthy Berrien, Lakeland HealthCare and C2 Your Health LLC — is hosting the inaugural Health and Wellness Summit on Friday, May 30.

This health and wellness project is designed to introduce local health and wellness business to the local community along with providing basic health screenings by Lakeland HealthCare and blood drive provided by South Bend Medical Foundation.

This health and wellness event is free and open to the public and will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA campus, 905 N. Front St., Niles. There will be information booths, as well as free health screenings. There will also be activities for the children.

Other activities on this day included:

• Area fitness, health, beauty, nutrition, and wellness options available in our community

• Free health screenings, blood pressure checks & a blood drive

• Healthy food options, fitness demonstrations

• Dedication and ribbon cutting for the new Riverfront Park Trail

• Kids’ activities, giveaways and more!

This is the 1st of the Four Flag Chamber events to include health and wellness activities to promote healthy business practices in the Niles community. Tyanna Weller, President/CEO of the Four Flags Chambers says

In September, the Four Flags Chamber of Commerce, with C2 Your Health LLC and the American Heart Association will be awarding Healthy Business Awards at the annual meeting.
