Reunion event planned for Niles High grads

Published 9:10am Tuesday, May 13, 2014

A gathering of Niles High School graduates who graduated from the school 40 or more years ago will be held from noon to 8 p.m. June 21 at Riverfront Park in Niles.

While the event is for Niles graduates, organizer Larry Flewelling said it is open to anyone.

“Wouldn’t it be fun to touch base with your classmates and teachers and talk about the good old days?” asked Flewelling in a press release.

In addition to getting former classmates together for a good time, organizers plan to give two scholarships to area seniors wanting to further their education.

Vikings 40 Plus, a non-profit organization, will donate all money made to the scholarship fund.

Pens and T-shirts are available now. Contact Flewelling at (269) 695-0346 for more information.

The event will include a live performance from 6 to 8 p.m. by Niles’ Sixth Generation Band along with raffles, food and more.
