Glick home run lifts Vikings to sweep

Connor Glick powered the Niles baseball team past Decatur Monday afternoon.

With the score tied at 6-6 in the bottom of the sixth in the nightcap, Glick hit a two-run home run as the Vikings swept the No. 10-ranked (Division 4) Raiders 7-4.

Niles (16-8) won the opening game 5-4.

Tate Rudlaff earned the victory in relief of starter Wyatt Thornton in the first game and doubled for the Vikings.

Taylor Weldy earned the victory in relief of Cody Thornton in the nightcap. He and Jordan Ham both doubled for Niles.

The Vikings travel to St. Joseph today to take on the No. 1-ranked Bears.
