Dowagiac golfers increase West Division lead

SOUTH HAVEN — The Dowagiac golf team increased its Wolverine Conference West Division lead by winning the South Haven Jamaboree at HawksHead Friday.

The Chieftains shot a 169 to defeat Coloma, which shot 173. Three Rivers was second with 176, South Haven fourth with 188, Edwardsburg fifth with 192 and Berrien Springs sixth with 207.

The Chieftains now have 28 points while the Comets have 22. Three Rivers is third with 20 points and Edwardsburg fourth with 19.

Andrew Polaskey of Coloma was medalist with a 38.

Jeremiah Guernsey led Dowagiac with a 41.

Dean Duke shot 43 for the Eddies.
