The Kincheloe Elementary PTO held a “Movie Night” in March in which they raffled off 12 books related to the “Free Bird” movie to raise money to donate to the backpack program. The raffle raised $180. Accepting the check from Emily Whitaker, Kincheloe PTO, are seventh-grade students Andrew McIntosh and Nico Linares, with the Dowagiac Middle School Student Council. The DMS Student Council packs 16 backpacks every week.
