Jennie L. Shaw, 97, of Bertrand Township., Mich. died Friday May 2, 2014, at Woodland Terrance Niles.

She was born Aug, 10, 1916, in Bertrand Twp to the late Lewis and Helen Dreger Smith, who preceded her in death.

On June 29, 1940 in Bertrand Twp .Jennie married William Shaw who preceded her in death Nov. 30, 1970.

Survivors include a son, Robert Shaw of Mason, Mich., three grandchildren: Luther, Jake and Mathew Weinberg.

A lifetime resident of Bertrand Twp., she retired from Portage Prairie United Methodist Church where she held the position of secretary for many years and delivered meals on wheels. She was also the recording secretary for the Buck teens.

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Portage Prairie United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday May 5, also at Portage Prairie United Methodist Church.
