A routine traffic stop led Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police department officers to the Eagle Lake area where they seized nearly two pounds of marijuana April 24.

While conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired plates, officers smelled the odor of marijuana upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle. The driver turned over the marijuana to the officers and told them he had purchased it earlier in the day near the Eagle Lake area.

Officers used that information to lead them to a suspect in the 67000 block of M-62 where, upon investigation, they found nearly two pounds of marijuana along with various drug paraphernalia, which were seized.

A vehicle was also seized in the incident.

The suspect, Brandon Bradley, was taken into custody and transported to the Cass County Jail.

Preliminary charges include maintaining a drug house, delivering marijuana and possession of marijuana.
