John Slezak, 78, of Niles, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Plainwell Nursing Home.

Cremation has taken place.

The memorial will be held at at a later date.

John was born in Flint, Mich. on June 7, 1935. He retired from Niles Library as a custodian. John loved fishing, yard work and long walks.

Surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Bessie Slezak, and sister, Virginia Jarvis.
