Brandywine sweeps Bridgman

BRIDGMAN — Visiting Brandywine swept a Lakeland Conference baseball doubleheader from Bridgman Tuesday.

The Bobcats (8-4, 2-0 Lakeland) scored two runs on two hits to edged the Bees 2-1 in eight innings in the first game.

Brandywine then scored two runs on three hits to win the nightcap 2-1.

Chandler Plew picked up the win in relief of starter Kyle Duncan in the opening game.

Matt Vaughn tossed a one-hitter in the nightcap for the Bobcats.
