Dowagiac split a pair of non-league baseball games with visiting St. Joseph Monday.

The Bears blitzed the Chieftains 18-3 in six innings in the opening game, while Dowagiac rebounded to win the nightcap 6-3.

Daquan Brooks went the distance allowing three runs on six hits.
