Brandywine baseball splits with Wildcats

Host Brandywine split a non-league baseball doubleheader with Three Rivers Saturday.

The Bobcats (6-4) won the opener 11-3 behind the two-hit pitching of Matt Vaughn and Toby Fox. Vaughn picked up the win and Fox earned a save.

Cole Sears and Chandler Plew both doubled as Brandywine finished with 14 hits.

In the second game, the Wildcats scored six times in the third inning on their way to a 7-2 victory.

Searles took the loss for the Bobcats who got a double from Tanner Bourdon.
