Dowagiac opened up its Wolverine Conference West Division soccer schedule with a 4-1 win over visiting Berrien Springs Thursday.

The Chieftains scored three second half goals to pick up their first win of the season.

Dowagiac (1-6, 1-0 West) got a pair of goals from Logan McMeeken, one in each half. Also scoring for the Chieftains were Cali Rank and Drew Andrade.
