SOUTH HAVEN — Dowagiac defeated host South Haven 4-3 in Wolverine Conference West Division action in a match that was shortened by the weather Monday.

The Chieftains won two of the three singles flights that were played. Dowagiac’s Micaela Ruff and South Haven’s Lynn Vu did not get their match in due to rain.

The Chieftains split the doubles flights with Gabby Leonard and Madison Proshwitz defeating Chelsea Cedarquist and Katherine Conde 7-6 and 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Kelly Rafferty and Abby Brizendine defeated Kendra Fridley and Sarah Hallgren 6-4, 0-6 and 6-4 at No. 3 doubles.
