Edwardsburg banged out 21 hits and scored 23 runs in sweeping a Wolverine Conference West Division doubleheader from visiting South Haven Thursday.

The Eddies won the first game 12-2 in six innings and then completed the sweep with an 11-2 rout in the nightcap.

Ali Strycker scattered six hits in the opener to pick up the victory.

Edwardsburg finished with nine hits, including doubles by Kaley Frank, McKenzie Creed, Savannah Dixon and Paige Freshour.

A five-run third inning broke open the nightcap for the Eddies, who improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the West Division.

Edwardsburg collected 12 hits in the contest, including four from Teryn Williams. Frank went 3-for-3 with a double, while Freshour was 2-for-3 with a double.

Williams, Frank, Kaylee Ryker and Freshour all drove in two runs.
